The WHF is trying to raise money to have a Civil
War marker placed at the remaining section of the
trench that was used in the "Battle of
Waynesborough." The trench is located on Pine
Avenue behind Stone Soup books, located at 908 West
Main Street. The marker will cost $1300.
The WHF is trying to place a kiosk at the Plumb
House Museum with recorded history of the battles
that have occurred in the Shenandoah Valley. This
will cost $3000.
The WHF is trying to bring the headquarters flag of
General Jubel Early to the Plumb House for display.
This flag is currently housed at the Museum of the
Confederacy in Richmond, VA. It will cost up to
$15,000 to conserve.
